RIDA®CUBE SCAN
Semi-Automation for Enzymatic Rapid and Single Tests
Designed as a true walk-away solution, the RIDA®CUBE SCAN enables continuous single-sample testing, making it suitable for production environments and small laboratories. Each assay kit contains 32 individual test cartridges and an RFID card that stores all necessary test parameters. This automated setup eliminates manual configuration, with results calculated by the system and displayed directly on the integrated tablet.
Data can be exported to a computer or integrated with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Two analyser variants are available, each equipped with a standard 340 nm wavelength and a secondary wavelength of either 546 nm or 580 nm. Using multiple instruments increases throughput and provides full wavelength coverage for the expanding test portfolio. The analyser package includes both the instrument and the tablet PC, which can be replaced separately if required.
Features & Benefits
- Loads calibration data and test parameters instantly with no manual configuration
- Fully automated, consecutive testing
- Closed cartridges and built-in QC checks eliminate routine servicing
- Standard 340nm plus either 546nm or 580nm covering a broad assay range
- Export results to PC, printer, HIS or LIMS via a simple USB connection.
Design and Performance
The system incorporates RFID technology to automatically load test-specific information, including calibration data, lot details, expiry dates, and remaining test count. Its tablet-based interface runs on an Android app that supports software updates, USB data transfer, rapid input features, and a troubleshooting feedback option, along with connectivity to host devices or printers. The fully automated operation is complemented by closed test cartridges and an integrated self-check function, ensuring the analyser remains maintenance-free during routine use.

Intended Use
The RIDA®CUBE SCAN is a compact photometric analyser designed for biochemical testing across a wide range of enzymatic and colorimetric assays. It supports the measurement of organic acids such as lactic acid, sugars including glucose, as well as various other food components like sulphite. The system uses identical test principles and reagents to those applied in traditional manual methods, ensuring consistent and comparable results.

Technical Specifications
Connectivity options include direct linking to PCs, hospital information systems (HIS), or LIMS platforms via USB. The instrument is CE-compliant, weighs 2.4 kg, and measures 16 × 13 × 14.5 cm, making it highly portable and easy to integrate into different laboratory or production settings.
